You will also dedicate entire days to basketball camp instead of a couple of hours as you would in the average basketball practice. This allows more time to run drills, shoot more baskets, watch more game tape, and improve your overall ability on the court. More than likely, you will be taught how to become a better team player, which will help you become a better leader when you return to your home team. 



The combination of all of these things will lead you to become a better overall player as well as build confidence in yourself both on and off the court.
